At the start of 2008, Sharon Little
was working as a waitress in
Philadelphia. Less than five months later,
she had recorded her CBS Records debut album and was consistently
receiving standing ovations in concert halls and arenas throughout
the country as the hand-chosen opening performer on the Robert
Plant, Alison Krauss and T Bone Burnett “Raising Sand” tour.
Little has also been winning major ovations with
Perfect Time For A Breakdown,
her brilliant album of heartfelt personal songs that showcases
Little as a writer and singer of intense emotional honesty.
The song’s she’s written reveal an old soul that just happens
to be within a person possessed of undeniable physical and spiritual
beauty.
Sharon and her musical collaborator, Scot Sax, usually travel by
train, cut off from the rest of the world; they write and perfect
their material in club cars, parlor cars, and sleeping cars, often
to the delight of fellow rail travelers whom they encourage to join
in their Amtrak-borne jam sessions.
“Peppermint And Glue” was chosen by the producers of
NCIS to be featured in
the January 27, 2009
episode, titled “Love And War.”
