Hailing from Manchester,
England, Oasis
has sold more than 50 million albums worldwide since the release of
its debut album, Definitely
Maybe, in 1991. The
band’s followup, (What's the
Story) Morning Glory?, became the second biggest selling album
in UK
history, and reached the Top 10 in the
U.S.
and all over Europe and Asia.
The success of the band’s first two albums cemented Oasis as
one of the biggest and most important bands in the world, and their
stature has only increased in the 21st century.
While lead guitarist Noel Gallagher was responsible for all of the
songwriting on the band’s first several releases, subsequent Oasis
albums have included contributions from every band member.
Several notable songs have been written by band lead singer
Liam Gallagher, including “Boy With Blues,” Oasis’ contribution to
NCIS: The Official TV
Soundtrack.
Recorded during sessions for the band’s most recent album,
Dig Out Your Soul, “Boy
With Blues” has never before been released in the U.S., and is available here
exclusively on the soundtrack.
It will be featured in a Season 6 episode of NCIS in 2009.
