After fifteen years as songwriter, lead singer and guitarist for The
Wallflowers, Jakob Dylan released his first solo album,
Seeing Things, in 2008.
Produced by Rick Rubin, the album’s 10 tracks are mostly
delivered via stark acoustic arrangements which provide the perfect
setting for Dylan’s distinctive vocals and outstanding songs.
The album received critical raves, as did a string of tours
on both sides of the Atlantic that
saw Dylan headlining his own dates, playing key festivals such as
Bonnaroo and Austin City Limits, and opening for such legends as
Eric Clapton and Willie Nelson.
For NCIS: The Official TV Soundtrack,
the two-time Grammy Award winner fronts a band of renowned musicians
– including Don Was on bass and Benmont Tench on keyboards – to
deliver one of his most stirring ballads to date: “No Matter What.”
The track will be featured in a Season 6 episode of
NCIS in 2009, and is
available exclusively on
NCIS: The Official TV Soundtrack.
